New information received early in 2024 has established that this canvas was purchased from Tolarno in May 1996, together with Interior 1996 [W/P]. Both works are still in the collection of the original purchaser (many thanks to Chris Deutscher for clarifying these details).

The information shown here supersedes details previously provided in an earlier entry on this canvas, based on a mysterious note in Arkley’s 1993-96 stock-book, under March 1996, regarding a ‘Freeway Painting ’96 to Tolarno for Swiss collector.’ The photo reproduced here is from a slide in Arkley’s archive (labelled with the incorrect dimensions 198 x 168).
