Decorated t-shirt (1983) [3/M]

The imagery is related to the two 1983 Spot the Difference canvases (q.v.) and other works from 1982-3. The example reproduced here – possibly the sole version produced – was included in a group exhibition at 200 Gertrude Street in 1989.

Arkley’s files also contain an undated Polaroid photo showing the artist wearing this garment, strictly speaking a ‘wind-cheater’ rather than a t-shirt (the title is given as exhibited in 1989).
