Table Lamp (1980-81) [3/M] [Howard Arkley & John Nixon]

Another example of Arkley’s interest in modernist furniture: cf. Untitled [Replica Rietveld Chair] (c.1975-6?) [3/M]. Arkley’s archive slides carry the process date Oct82 (example reproduced here). The lamp was shown in the 1991 Arkley survey exhibition (and photographed for the Monash Visual Arts slide library), when it was recorded as owned by Arkley. John Nixon, who is unaware of its  present whereabouts, also recalls making a second lamp with Arkley (correspondence 2010).
