One of several drawings related to Arkley’s key ‘white’ painting Actuality (Is the Void Between Events) 1976. However, by comparison with most of the work-on-paper versions of this composition (see e.g. Study for Actuality [A93] (1974) [W/P]), this example is horizontal in format, like the 1976 canvas, thus accentuating ‘the void between.’
Tape on the back suggests that this drawing may have been mounted and exhibited at some stage.
