Untitled [Woodgrain Zappo Head] (1991) [W/P]
Silk-screen on paper (multiple ed.), approx.54 x 34
Various collections (inc.Arkley archive)
This experimental variant appears to have been produced at the same time as the multiple hand-coloured version catalogued separately as Zappo Head [screenprint] 1991 and later [W/P].
In this case, a woodgrain-patterned head floats in clashing hues against an Op background. There are several copies in Arkley’s archive (one reproduced here), and another impression appeared at auction in April 2010.
