Family Home: Suburban Exterior (1993) was one of four art-works featured on a new Australia Post stamp issue (the other artists were Joy Hester, Robert Jacks and Sidney Nolan): reproduced above.
Arkley auction activity was quiet in 2003, and there were few publications of any substance, although two of his works held in the NGV were included in new publications devoted to the Gallery’s collections: Muzak Mural – Chair Tableau (1980-81) [3/M] in Bernard Smith & others, Two Centuries of Australian Art; and the 1988 work on paper Tattooed Head was included in Kirsty Grant & Cathy Leahy, On Paper: Australian Prints and Drawings in the National Gallery of Victoria.
