1989 Works on paper (minor)

Arkley’s archive contains various working drawings and collages related to the factory theme (for an example dated 1989, see Carnival Fig.1.26). Other working drawings from the period include a source image related to Plastic Portrait (1990) – an ink sketch over a magazine photo of a female face (reproduced in Spray 101); and a set of four untitled heads drawn over heads clipped from newspapers, signed and dated 1989 (Arkley archive), reproduced in Gregory 2000: 28.
