A transitional work, arranging forms and patterns typical of Arkley’s ‘white’ works on paper into the door format he used for many paintings 1978-80. The third field, to the right, is closely comparable with Leaves 1978. See also Untitled [‘Spots’] 1978 [W/P], also dated 1978.
