This elegant smaller work on paper was exhibited in the 1991 Arkley survey at Monash, and subsequently auctioned by Deutscher-Menzies in 2000 as ‘Study for White Painting’, reproducing the image with signature and date below (as shown here). A slide in Arkley’s archive is labeled ‘The Orient 1975’.
